Happy New Year Energy Link Team. We hope that 2015 is already off to a great start! Here is a quick team update:
AT = alternative training / AT = anaerobic threshold. We will be running a 4-5weekly session on Saturday mornings for our team. The session will act as a team building session as well as an opportunity to step out of the program structure and out your comfort zone! We would like to expect that all Energy Link Sydney siders lock the dates into their calendars, phone, diary’s as this will be a session not to miss. At the end of the session we can relax over a coffee ( :
Session 1 kicks off Saturday 8th February. 7:00am at Warriwood Beach. Bring your run gear, swimmers and towel for a challenging but fun session. No matter what distance events you are doing or how fit or experienced you are, this session is for YOU!
Welcome Prue Butler and Tom Bekerling to the team - Tom and Prue moved from Sydney to WA this year and are training for Busso 70.3 under Coach Lew’s guidance. Welcome also to Elisa Di Marco and Karen R who both begun training towards racing the long course event in Husky. Karen will also be racing Busso 70.3 in May. Peter Afele, John Mahoney, Geoff Stutsel, Warwick Schneller and Richard Walker also joined the team prior to Christmas. Peter will be racing Nowra sprint as well as Orange and Wollongong OD and Batemans Bay Challenge events, Geoff is training hard to improve run time, race long course events and an Ironman this year, John is preparing well to race Melbourne Ironman in March. Warwick is preparing for the Tweed Enduro in March and Richard Walker will be part of the Husky long course team and will be working hard towards racing Cairns Iornman in June.
Happy racing to Bruce Tomlinson at Auckland 70.3 in January and also to Bel Fong, John Mahoney and Peter Afele for their races at the Orange Triathlon early in Feb. There is a big group heading to Husky for a great weekend of racing and Nico Roth will be heading to race the Tokyo marathon on 22nd Feb. Please dont forget to send us your results and race pics!

Congratulations to Antony and Giselle Karpin on the birth of their very handsome little baby Rafael Luca Karpin. Rafael was born early December and Mum and Bub are both doing well - if he is anything like his Dad, he should be lots of fun to chase around! Wishing you all a blessed and very happy life together.
