We are looking forward to cheering loud for the Energy Link team and all competitors taking part in Huskisson weekend of racing. As we do each year, it would be great to catch up with the team at a short swim to loosen up the shoulders. We will meet on the beach at the race start area at 3:30pm. See you then!
It’s common with endurance sports to get so caught up in the training process, that often recovery takes a back seat. This isn’t something new, but as coaches or athletes, not utilising recovery as an equally important aspect of the training schedule can be dangerous. Read more …
Energy Link Coaching have been privileged in the past to collaborate with our long time friend Steve Edwards from Snap printing as he motivates and inspires the "Snap team” competing in various Ironman events. This year Steve has chosen Wisconsin Ironman as the goal and the team are beginning their preparations under the watchful eye of Coach Bruce. It is already gearing up to be another great event put on by Steve and to make it even more exciting Steve will be racing in support of his good friend Mike who will be competing in his first Ironman as a birthday milestone achievement! The banter has begun and is going strong - which obviously means they need more training sessions because they have too much energy!
If you need any summer or winter training gear, race gear, run gear, hats or whatever you like! The order would be delivered by 15th march. It will be our last order for this season. Energy Link feel extremely privileged to have the opportunity to coach and support Turia as she prepares for Melbourne Ironman 2016. No doubt you will be aware of the incredible journey that Turia and her partner Michael have taken since having their lives turned upside-down when Turia was trapped by a grassfire while competing in a 100km ultra-marathon in September 2011, and suffered burns to 65 per cent of her body. Turia is a remarkable person with an amazing background and, with the strength that she displays every day of her life, we have no doubt that she will cross the finish line smiling in Melbourne and we can’t wait! We are looking forward to the journey.
Turia lives and trains in Ulladulla NSW and has joined a team to race in the Huskisson long course event. You can follow Turia and read about her life here
We are making plans to join Turia, Interplast ambassador, at the Interplast Gala night in April this year where Turia will be giving a motivational speech. Why dont you join us! Please find an invite below for this great night and incredible cause. Please feel free to pass the information on.
Happy Training team,
Bruce , Chris, Lew and Waino.
